Fahrenheit Participates in Ventana Sur 2024
Montevideo, December 7, 2024. Fahrenheit took part in Ventana Sur 2024, the most important audiovisual market in Latin America, which for the first time held its edition outside of Argentina. Due to the challenges currently facing the industry in that country, the event was relocated to Montevideo, Uruguay, bringing together producers, distributors, sales agents, programmers, and festival representatives from around the world.
“Being at Ventana Sur reaffirms our commitment to the regional industry and allows us to position our stories in spaces that value narrative risk, Latin American identity, and auteur cinema,” said David Herrera, representative of Fahrenheit.

Fahrenheit’s participation focused on showcasing its portfolio of genre films —both completed and works in progress— to sales agents, platforms, international labs, and festival curators. Throughout the market, the company held key meetings with representatives from sections such as Blood Window, Ventana Doc, and Animation!, with the aim of building strategic alliances for the international circulation of its titles.
“We want our films not only to be seen, but to connect with diverse audiences and find their way into circuits that value authenticity and the symbolic power of the Global South,” Herrera added.
Ventana Sur concluded its 2024 edition with a closing ceremony at the iconic Teatro Solís in Montevideo, where awards were given to the most outstanding projects from the continent.
The company remains committed to producing original, socially engaged cinema, bringing to the screen stories that resonate with audiences through their aesthetic, emotional, and cultural depth.
